Colon Cleansing
Darmspülpulver Bernburg (Bernburg colon cleanse powder)
with fresh, fruity grapefruit taste
Powder for drinkable solution for orthograde colon cleansing prior to diagnostic investigations and surgical procedures.
Darmspülpulver Bernburg (Bernburg colon cleanse powder) produces a Macrogol drinkable solution which prevents electrolyte losses through the intestinal wall because of its composition.
Darmspülpulver Bernburg (Bernburg colon cleanse powder) contains no sulphate or sweeteners.

Therapeutic indications: For bowel cleansing prior to diagnostic investigations, e.g. endoscopy of the colon, and prior to surgical procedures on the bowel.

1xklysma saline: Ready-to-use enema solution.
Composition: 100 ml contain: Sodium dihydrogen phosphate 2 H2O 16.0 g; Disodium hydrogen phosphate2 H2O2.98 g; Sodium benzoate 0.12 g; Purified water.

EmboLog® S contains amilomer, DSM (Degradable Starch Microspheres) 35/50 in isotonic saline solution
Intended purpose / Indications:
EmboLog® S is intended for embolization of blood vessels, especially for the local application in minimal invasive treatment, such as intra-arterial occlusion in liver tumour therapy.
Contraindications:
• Do not use if there are vascular anomalies in the target organ, if the artery is occluded, in the case of portal vein thrombosis, portal hypertension, portal vein invasion and severe liver impairment.
• Do not use for the diagnosis, management or correction of a defect in the heart or the central circulatory system.
“Central circulatory system” means the following vessels: ascending aorta, coronary arteries, common carotid artery, external carotid artery, internal carotid artery, cerebral arteries, brachiocephalic trunk, veins of the heart, pulmonary veins, superior vena cava, inferior vena cava, aortic arch, descending aorta as far as bifurcation of the aorta
• Do not use in case of blood values of serum albumin ≤ 2 mg/dl, serum creatinine ≥ 2 mg/dl.
Dosage / Administration:
Depending on the size and vascularisation of the tumour, the arterial blood flow and the arteriovenous shunt volume, EmboLog® S can be given at a dosage of between 2.5 and 7.5 ml (150 – 450 mg). A maximum dose of 15 ml/900 mg is possible in special cases. Local chemotherapy can be carried out in several cycles lasting several days at intervals of 2 – 6 weeks.
